This site is a platform for all kinds of organizations to use for giving their news and information that never gets published in print; it’s for free and forever! This site is also for making people aware of the fact that there is a lot of news that takes place everyday around you that never reaches you. This news coupled with different kinds of information, which often could be of use to you, is simply ignored by the newspapers for their personal gains, at your expense. Full marks to newspapers and their selfish attitude!
Let us consider a few other facts.
| A newspaper’s focus is local and its reach is also only local; our reach is global! A newspaper’s shelf life is 24 hours but its exposure time is a maximum of 4 hours…….often even less. If it’s read within that time every day, then its fine, otherwise it’s gone into storage. Our exposure time is limitless! A newspaper is keen to only publish items which are scandalous, or relating to politics, crime, accidents or sports. For us any news is of equal importance! Call up any newspaper office and tell them that you need to have an important event of yours published in their newspaper; the voice at the other end will ask you to “send an e-mail or letter with details about the event”……..and that’s the end of it. Thereafter, you start looking up every day in the newspaper, with anticipation, to see if your news has been published……….and your wait goes on till you lose your patience. Fact is, it will rarely get published. Very often it will never. Nothing like that will ever be the case with us! Call up any newspaper office and tell them that you need to give an advertisement in their newspaper, and see for yourself how they will be all sugar and honey and will happily come visiting wagging their tails. Nothing like that with us because we will never ever ask you for an ad! When it comes to circulation, every newspaper’s figure is highly inflated. All you have to do is, call each one of them separately and tell them that you need to give an advertisement and hence want to know the circulation figures; just add together all the figures given by the different newspapers and you will be surprised to learn that their total circulation is far more than the population of the entire coverage area. Looks like the literacy rate has become more than 100%! Journalism schools the world over teach their students that a NEWSpaper space should be covered with 2/3rd news and 1/3rd advertisements….….. this is supposed to be the norm….…this is supposed to be the unwritten law; but check for yourself any leading newspaper in any language emanating from any part of the country and you will find it’s the other way round……….always! Minimal news is what you get. So do the newspapers really care for you? Surely they don’t! Reason: The newspapers are merely interested in the gains they make in terms of your money and never in the gains that you may make in terms of information and knowledge! |
It’s time that you seriously considered the facts and acted………in your interest………just yours’…………and not theirs!
